Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

How do I Use the Tablet?

  • Pop a tablet in your mouth, bite down a couple of times to break it up, then brush with a wet toothbrush. It will foam just like regular toothpaste!

Do Your Tablets Contain Flouride?

  • Yes, we offer both Fluoride and Fluoride Free options for our spearmint tablets.
  • Our fluoride tablets meet government requirements for fluoride in toothpaste and are fully approved by Health Canada.
  • We are in the plastic fight, not the fluoride fight.  Choose your preference.

Are Your Tablets Approved by Dentists?

  • Our tablet formulation has been scrutinized by the dentist on our advisory board every step of the way.
  • He overlooked everything from specific ingredient composition to abrasivity and tablet sizing.  Nothing was overlooked from a dental perspective.

Are the Packages Compostable?

  • All of our toothpaste tablet packaging is completely plastic-free and certified compostable with 5 certificates to back it up. It’s made from cellulose, a natural material derived from wood fibers, and meets the EN 13432 composting standard - a certification that ensures a product can break down naturally in composting environments without leaving harmful residues or micro-plastics.

How do I Store the Tablets?

  • The tablets come in a resealable pouch, which you can open and close as needed, or store them in an airtight container of your choice.
  • Just be sure to keep them sealed to prevent moisture from getting in. This helps minimize exposure to humidity, especially in bathrooms or areas with higher moisture levels, where condensation is common.
  • We do recommend transferring them to a hard container for transit, like our travel tin, as the compostable pouch does not offer much protection.

How Are the Tablets Shipped?

  • We ship all of our products using padded mailers that are filled with 100% recycled newspaper for smaller orders, or in boxes for larger orders. We use recycled paper or compostable packing peanuts to protect your items during transit.
  • For delivery, we partner with Canada Post as they are the most sustainable way to ship, with a neutral carbon footprint, to ensure your order reaches you safely and efficiently.

Can I make changes to my order or cancel it?

If your order hasn’t already been shipped, we’d be happy to assist. Please send an email to info@changetoothpaste.com, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.

What if my Tablets are Damaged When They Arrive?

  • While we take every precaution with our packaging, transit can sometimes cause unexpected issues, and it's hard to predict what might lead to damage.
  • Please reach out to us directly, and we’ll resolve the situation to your satisfaction, as quickly as possible. Our customer support team is here to ensure you're completely satisfied with your order.

Are Your Tablets Safe for People With Allergies?

  • All of our products are 100% cruelty-free, soy, vegan, and gluten-free. We are committed to creating ethical, plant-based products that are safe for everyone.
  • Additionally, we do not use any whitening or sensitivity formulas, ensuring that our products remain gentle, effective, and suitable for daily use.

Why should I choose toothpaste tablets over traditional tubes?

  • Toothpaste tablets are a sustainable alternative to plastic tubes, which often end up in landfills and contribute to the growing plastic waste problem. By switching to tablets, you can eliminate plastic packaging altogether, making a positive impact on the environment.
  • We know that moving from a traditional tube to a tablet can feel a bit strange at first, but once you get used to it, the convenience and benefits quickly become second nature. Our toothpaste tablets come in fully compostable packaging, helping to further reduce your environmental footprint.
  • Each tablet is the perfect size to meet dentist recommendations for the right amount of toothpaste, so you won’t waste excess product.
  • They are fully water-soluble resulting in no more gobs of toothpaste left in the sink.
  • They provide a fresh, gentle clean without harsh chemicals, offering an effective way to care for your teeth while being kind to the planet.

What is the Expiration of the Tablets?

Tablets that are sealed in an air and water tight container will have a shelf life of 36 months.

The tablets absorb moisture, please do not expose them to humidity for long periods of time.
